How to use shotgun:
Shotguns involve a very aggressive playstyle, if you like to shoot players from afar then this weapon is not for you.
In order to play shotgun you need to have a lot of medical supplies, including healing and health boosters, and stamina boosters would be nice to use as well. Because of this, a big bag is almost necessary to use with this weapon.
Shotguns are meant for close quarter combat, and are best used in a cramped building. For example, the auditorium at the University is not a good place to use a shotgun, it is large and open, and people will see you coming. All shotguns very similar stats, each killing a player in 1-2 hits closeup. The only difference is how many shells it can have at once. The Spas 12 and Auto-5 are the only ones worth picking up, with the Auto carrying 5 shells, and the Spas carrying 8.
A good sidearm to use is anything automatic, or has god accuracy. Some great sidearms is a Desert Eagle, which is great for its high damage output if you aim right. Another good sidearm is the MP5K, not to be confused for the primary variant, the MP5. This weapon is the best for shotgun, it's great at medium range to get the opponent low, and it's fully auto. My personal top pick if I can find it.
When playing solo:
Once you are ready to get some kills with your trusty shotgun, and have most, if not all the gear recommended above, you should start finding players. Popular spots are the University and the Observatory. In the University you want to hug the buildings, and stay inside as much as possible. if in the field in the center, get behind rocks or trees. Stamina boosters are key to getting across the map fast. Most players are on the main building roof, and they are most of the time not paying attention to the stairs, and that's a great time to strike. Find others in buildings and pick them off. If you are facing a team, make them notice you, and once they do head into the nearest building. Keep your eyes on them, and wait for them to come to you. once they do, pick them off one by one. If the last runs, take them down with your sidearm.
