The NCO Katana is a melee weapon in Apocalypse Rising 2.
Information[]
Katanas are traditional Japanese swords that have their roots in a variety of similar sword designs from the 8th century onwards. Used by Japanese warriors of all types, they remained in use up until the Second World War.
Gameplay[]
The Katana deals very high damage per swing and is one of two melee weapons capable of killing a full HP target with two hits. Consequently, it is one of the most powerful melee weapons in the game and a reliable tool for dispatching the Infected or a careless player who gets too close.

Obtainment[]
The NCO Katana can be found in the Prison warden's office, the case on a shelf above a bed in a 2 floor green house located in the south part of Ashland, in the depths of the Mines, and very rarely from the Infected Shaggy. The NCO Katana can also be found in Smuggler Airstrip above the Commercial Garage, to the right of the stairs in the chest.
Trivia[]
- The NCO Katana used to deal 50 damage before the Christmas 2021 Event.
- The NCO Katana used to have a much larger hitbox, allowing it to hit enemies through much thicker walls.
