Trivia
- In Apocalypse Rising 2, .30-06 Springfield has been misnamed as "7.62mm Springfield". This rename is a metric measurement for the cartridge, and the Americans which created .30-06 Springfield do not use metric. Other American cartridges seen in-game such as .30 Carbine, .357 Magnum, .44 Magnum, and .45 ACP are appropriately named and use the appropriate "caliber" measurement, where the diameter of a given bullet is measured in percentages of an inch. The .30-06 is the only cartridge in the game which has been misnamed in this way.
- Every ammo type in the game except for 12 Gauge Buckshot seems to be full metal jacket or "ball" ammunition, since every bullet type will ricochet off stone and metallic surfaces, something soft or hollow point ammunition is meant to prevent.
- Most of the ammo cans and battle packs in the game are not meant to be recycled or reused in real life.
- The 5.56mm and 7.62mm NATO battle packs are plastic bags which are cut open and discarded after use.
- The Soviet ammo cans and 7.62mm Springfield can are similar in that they are metal cans which must be opened with a knife or a can opener, meaning they be resealed and the lids have sharp edges after opening.
- Interestingly, inside each of these cans would be stripper clips in increments of 5 or 10 based on ammunition type. However this isn't shown in-game, and instead these cans are filled with individual rounds.
